A code is a starting point,
not a complete diagnosis.
Do not remove the boiler casing or attempt work on gas, combustion or electrical components. If a reset is allowed by the user guide, try it once only. A recurring fault needs proper investigation.
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 from a safe place.
